Shipping and VTT update.

Shipping
We've received a few updates on shipping since the books have been handed off to the ocean freight company. Dates have been changing weekly and we'll keep you posted. Our most current estimate for when the books should reach our distributor is 8/22. We've been told that many factors could affect that date so we will keep you updated to any delays or alterations to that date. The menus and dice have been delivered to the distributor and will be ready to begin shipping fulfillment when the books arrive. Once the fulfillment process starts you should receive tracking information when your books are shipped out.
Roll 20 Tavern Tales Support
We've begun work on the Tavern Tales Roll 20 module! We don't have a clear timetable on when it will be available but that will be our main focus now that the books are headed to us. We will work on a discount for the backers when the VTT is released.
Gen Con
Colin and Mike will be headed to Gen Con and running some adventures out of the book. If you're going to be there we'd love to say hi. You can just reach out to us on our discord.
Mass Production is Finished

Mass Production
Hello everyone, we know it's been a while since our last update, but there hasn't been much to tell. We've been waiting on completion of the mass production of the book which we're excited to announce just finished. Our manufacturer will be finishing up the final touches preparing the books for transport, and they should be leaving within the next week.
Ocean Freight and Fulfillment
Once the books are on the ship, we've been told to expect 1 1/2 to 2 months for the books to reach port. We should receive some tracking information. We'll try to use that information to let you know when we expect the ship to arrive and when we've passed through customs, etc...
We'll be using Nord for fulfillment. When the books are received, we should be able to provide tracking information to each backer once the orders are shipped out. We'll let you know when all that begins to happen.
Locking Addresses
I will lock all of the addresses on Friday night. If you need to update your address before then you should be able to use your old survey link in order to change it. If you have any issues changing the address, you can contact us through the discord which is the fastest way to reach us, or you can email me at [email protected]. There are also a few of you that haven't filled out your survey yet. If you haven't received a survey, make sure you check your spam folder or contact us to help you get access to it.

Podcast & Manufacturing/Shipping Update

Hook & Chance Podcast
We recently interviewed on the Hook & Chance podcast where we discussed 5 Steps for Memorable Taverns. Travis and Jordan were a pleasure to chat with and their interest in Tavern Tales was awesome, they loved the PDF! You can listen through the link or your preferred podcast app.
Manufacturing
As far as manufacturing and shipping go we are still in the mass production phase of the process. We were supposed to receive a Mass Production copy of the book for final approval at the end of this month but we were recently informed that our factory is dealing with a delay due to a covid outbreak. Thankfully, no one at the factory has gotten ill and the cases in the area are not drastically spiking. We've been told it should only be a 2-week delay, but our contact at Panda Manufacturing said she would keep us posted. That should put us at around mid-may for completion of manufacturing. From there we would just be waiting on the ocean freight to deliver the books which could be anywhere from 3-6 weeks as far as we've been told.

We are delighted to be sharing with you the official PDF release of Tavern Tales Vol. 1!
Includes:
- A PDF copy of Tavern Tales Volume 1 (single and spread versions)
- A Tavern Tales Map Pack: 32 maps, each with a player and GM version, with grid options for both
- Printouts for: Iconography Guide, A Trip Away Inn’s Menu, Merchant and Player Tracking Sheets, and a Top of the World Circus Map
Once payment is finalized you should receive an email from BackerKit with links to download the PDF and supplemental content.
The Book is Real
We have received our first PPC test copy from our manufacturer, and let me just say we are truly ecstatic with how everything turned out. The book is stunning: from the quality, to the color, to the detail, our expectations were high and they were met! After toiling over each one of the 296 pages in Tavern Tales Volume 1 thousands of times, it was a truly joyous occasion to hold such a quality product in my hands and flip through its glorious pages.
This PPC is the very first, hand-bound, copy of Tavern Tales Vol. 1, to make sure that we're truly happy with the production quality of the book before we start the print run. On reflection, we have had some minor changes made from the book you see below, and we’re receiving a compare-and-contrast copy in the coming days to confirm another decision.

January Update - Happy New Year Everyone!

Happy New Year everyone! We hope you had a wonderful holiday. We know we've been quiet the last couple of months, that's mostly because there hasn't been a lot to tell. We were working with a print specialist at our manufacturer to get the files for the book formatted properly for print. The first physical copy of Tavern Tales is shipping out to us tomorrow for final approval, we'll hopefully have that in our hands by next week. We'll check this test copy to make sure everything is lining up properly and all the colors are right and then we'll give the go-ahead to begin printing the rest of the books.
As far as a timeline for when the books themselves will be shipped out, we still do not have any concrete dates. We're waiting on that information from the manufacturer, but we'll keep you updated and let you know as soon as we know anything.
We also wanted to let everyone know that we'll be locking orders and charging cards on January 15th for shipping, add-ons, and taxes. We are going to try our hardest to deliver you the PDF and digital map pack along with the order locking. If we don't make the 15th the pdf and digital maps should come shortly after that. We're very excited to get the PDF to you so we can begin discussing the book and getting A Trip Away Inn on some of your tables so we can hear all about your group's interactions with Flip and the gang.
